Outfits of the Week 8/17

August 18, 2026|By Mia

Another week, another outfit roundup! This week was a mix of late summer looks with early fall inspiration. The weather has been beautiful but I can already feel that shift in the air that makes me want to start layering.

I have been gravitating towards rich textures and deeper tones as we transition seasons. There is something about late August that makes me want to wear all the chocolate browns, olive greens, and warm burgundies. Let me show you what I wore this week.

Monday: Effortless Elegance

Monday I wore this stunning satin midi skirt from Reformation. The champagne color is so beautiful and catches the light perfectly. I paired it with a simple black bodysuit and my Saint LaurentKate bag for a look that is both elegant and effortless.

The key to this outfit is the contrast between the casual bodysuit and the dressy skirt. It creates an interesting dynamic that feels polished but not overdone. I added strappy sandals and gold jewelry to complete the look.

Tuesday: Power Suiting

Tuesday was all about making a statement. I wore this gorgeous olive green suit from COS. The blazer has a slightly oversized fit that looks so modern and the matching trousers have a wide leg that elongates the body beautifully.

I kept the styling minimal with a white silk camisole underneath and pointed-toe pumps. The olive color is perfect for fall and works beautifully with gold accessories. This is the kind of outfit that commands attention in the best way.

Wednesday: Casual Cool

Midweek I needed something comfortable but still stylish. I reached for my Mother Hustler Roller jeans with a white ribbed tank and layered a camel cardigan over top. The cardigan adds warmth and visual interest to an otherwise simple outfit.

I finished the look with my Gucci slides and a crossbody bag. This is the kind of outfit that works for everything from coffee runs to casual meetings. Simple but effective.

Thursday: Date Night

Thursday night we went out for dinner and I wore this beautiful black lace dress from Self-Portrait. The intricate lacework is stunning and the silhouette is incredibly flattering. It hits at the perfect midi length that feels sophisticated and elegant.

I kept accessories minimal with just my Saint Laurent heels and the Bottega Veneta Pouch. When wearing a statement dress like this, less is definitely more with accessories.

Friday: Weekend Vibes

By Friday I was ready for a more relaxed look. I wore my AGOLDE 90s jeans with an oversized vintage band tee and a leather jacket draped over my shoulders. The leather jacket adds edge to the casual base and creates such a cool vibe.

I finished with white sneakers and a mini bag for a look that is perfect for weekend adventures. This is the kind of outfit that makes you feel effortlessly cool.

I hope these looks give you some inspiration for your own transitional dressing. The key is having versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched across seasons.
